Ryan could sense my mood and was a real bear to get down tonight. That's the amazing thing about babies. It helps force you into a happier place for their sake.

Man, have I said how thankful I am for that little man? It'd be pretty hard to be more blessed.

In other news, my itch to flip a house got an interesting scratch this week. I got a notice on a super cheap house that... get this... is on a certain former spouse's street. How small a world is that? Granted, I was looking in the general area of coastal MD, but it's not that long of a street. Heh. I'm not crazy enough to jump on it for many reasons, the most important being that I gotta finish the diss first... must finish diss... I told him he should look into it. I guess he already had and it was a crap deal. Oh well. As they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Good for a laugh anyway though.

Ugh... I'm not tired yet. Guess I'll keep rambling...

I got a bunch of women together to help make soft "shapes and colors" books for babies. We're making some of the new babies on my parenting board and some to donate to hospitals. I'm very excited about it.

Christmas is upon me. I'm more than a little excited. I've already wrapped Ryan's first gift, sent off all my secret santa gifts, gotten Ry's first ornament, started sewing his stocking, and made an annoying Amazon wishlist for the people who insist that I send them lists. I hate telling people what I want. It just feels wrong somehow. But for the secret santa thing, what else are you going to do?

I guess I shouldn't knock it. Having a list certainly made it easy to get my secret santa recipients their gifts. Hehe... many years ago I refused to make a list and that resulted in way more nick-nacks than one person ought to want to buy, so I learned my lesson. Even if it's my mom, if someone asks for a list, make a list. The hard part this year was putting things on the list that I want for myself. I don't really want anything for myself. I'd much rather get stuff for Ryan. I snuck a few things for him onto the list ;)
