It's HOT. Really freaking HOT. 106 today or something sick like that, and it's been over a hundred for 4 days now. Running errands has been less than pleasant since my car's A/C barely makes a dent in the temp before we're at our destination. We had plans yesterday for a get-together in the park with some friends -- some pregnant and some with infants -- so we had to cancel because it was just too much to handle in that condition. I've had to religate walks with the Boy to early morning and late evening, although tonight's trip through the neighborhood was still a bit too warm for the little man. Not being able to walk with him nixxes one of my best soothing tricks, which is basically NOT GOOD.

Speaking of the boy, he's close to some milestones (crawling and saying his first word, which looks like it's going to be "up"), which makes him cranky and over-stimulated in general. So of course, we bought him a Jumperoo today just to complicate things and give him one more thing to get excited about (and therefore think about instead of sleeping) Hehe. Oh well, we can chalk that one up to lessons in parenting, I guess. He sure loves that contraption though. I might have to post a video later. It's absolutely hilarious watching him fling himself about in it.
